Biography for Eloise (Kahoun) Bradford In 1957 Eloise moved with her family from Broadview Heights to Coshocton County where her father had bought 146 acres of land which he called "God's Country," a picturesque rural area steeped in history. Twenty four students were in her graduating class. After graduating Eloise entered St. Francis School of Nursing and was happy to have as her roommate that first year, a former classmate from Brecksville, Carol (Girard) Koph. Carol was one of her bridesmaids when Eloise married Fred Bradford in 1964. She and Fred, who is in insurance and investment sales, have four married sons and nine grandchildren. Eloise worked intermittently in hospitals, a doctor's office, a pathology department, nursing communities, and before retiring she taught a state-tested nurse's aide program; but for most of the time she was able to stay home and get involved with school and community programs and attend little league baseball games for fourteen years. Eloise and her husband enjoy staying involved in church and civic activities, visiting and entertaining family and friends, and taking spontaneous side trips like golf weekends or browsing Amish country and antique marts, plus attending little league baseball games. |
