Biography for

Margie (Keller) Collins

After graduation Margie attended Bowling Green State University where she majored in music but ultimately received a degree in business economics. She was an administrative assistant at The Cleveland Clinic and also sang professionally for a number of years.

In 1977 she married Dr. Royer Collins, then Chief of Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine at The Cleveland Clinic. Later that same year they moved to Los Angeles, California where her husband set up sports medicine and fellowship programs at the Kerlan-Jobe Group. He also brought sports medicine to Wenatchee, Washington, in 1981 and to Phoenix, Arizona, in 1986, before retiring in 2005. Margie and her husband were fortunate to have been able to travel extensively to medical meetings while still having time to visit with their combined families. Margie's two daughters and four grandchildren, who reside in California, have enjoyed many family ski and summer vacations with the Collins clan.

Margie has been involved in community service projects both with the Medical Society Alliance and the Daughters of the American Revolution, while enjoying a literary group through Arizona State University. She plays golf and tennis; and she continues to enjoy her first love, music, by attending the opera, the symphony, a local Broadway theater, and her new favorite, Zumba.
