Biography for

Arlene (Matsuoka) Cole

After graduating from Brecksville High School, Arlene attended the Eastman School of Music where she received a B.M. in Music. She then attended Yale University where she received an M.M. in Music and met her husband, Brian. They both have been teaching at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island for over 30 years. Brian is a Mathematician; Arlene is Director of Keyboard Studies and has developed and teaches a course in atonal musicianship. Arlene and Brian have two lovely children, Geraldine and Elliot, and two wonderful dogs, Theta and Delta.
