Biography for

Tim Spieth

 

After attending firefighter school and Total Technical Institute, Tim became a full-time firefighter in Brecksville. In addition he owned and managed Broadview Hts. Taylor Rental. In 1993 due to a car accident and medical problems, he retired and was confined to a wheelchair.

Tim has been married to Cheryl Griffith ('63) for 48 years and they have three children and four grandchildren. He was active in the Jaycees and served as President of the Kiwanis Club. Tim has always been active in some type of community organization. For the last 13 years he has volunteered for the Brecksville human resource department, scheduling all of the volunteer drivers (80 plus persons) for the cars, van and bus trips Brecksville provides for their residents each month. In 2004 he was selected as Senior Volunteer of the Year. One of his favorite projects was an Easter project, Baskets of Hope, for Kiwanis which involved giving 1700 baskets to underprivileged children in the Cleveland area in 2010.

Tim still lives in Brecksville and finds that he can still make a difference in his community and family.
