Loren Lloyd "Mike" Whitney

Mike became a singer, songwriter, and club performer. He has been married 27 years to his wife, Shelagh. Mike lives in Hayesville, North Carolina, where he writes a column for the local weekly paper. He and his wife helped bring alcohol to the county for the first time in 60 years. He enjoys music and writing short stories.

In 1971 his novelty singles, "Hard to Be Hip" and "My Best Friend" were released in the Cincinnati area. His 2009 album, Temporary Sanity is available through CDBaby.com. After a six year hiatus, he has recently returned to playing in local restaurants and clubs.
